Cake Poker Network
Cake Poker was established in April 2004 with one goal; to design a better poker site. Even though they had a small team, each member had a strong backing in networking, management and design. On top of that, each member has a strong passion for poker and improving the game. One year after forming, Cake Poker went into production in April of 2005 and its poker room launched in 2006.
The Cake Poker Network is owned by Cake Gaming N.V., which is a limited-liability business corporation incorporated in Curaçao, Dutch Antilles. It is registered and carries on business in Curaçao in full compliance with Dutch Antilles law. They also operate under Curacao’s most popular gaming, hosting and licensing provider, Cyberluck.
Since launch nearly 1 year ago, the Cake Poker Network has seen growth into the top 20 most popular poker networks today, being around number 17. They have an average player base of around 3000 during peak hours. Cake Poker has at least 4 poker skins, with talk of adding more in the near future. Currently the Cake Poker Network is the home to Cake Poker, Sportsbook.com, and new additions BetUS and Straightflush.
The Cake Poker Network holds integrity and security on the highest of levels. For their shuffling techniques, they use the Microsoft CryptoAPI RNG. Their shuffling and random number generators is said to be so random that even a large amount of computer analysis can not predict the patterns, and has been validated by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
Cake Poker is one of the current networks that still accepts US players since the gambling legislation that was passed in 2006.
The Cake Poker Network is one of the newest networks today. With more skins wanting to join Cake Poker due to its integrity and being in the US market, you should expect to see the numbers grow.
