iPoker Network & Playtech Software
The iPoker Poker network is one of the most popular poker networks geared mainly towards Europeans. There are a ton of skins affiliated to this network, each having their own (however similar) VIP Store, promotions and other small nuances. The network is not open to US customers, sadly, and games are considered to be more on the tight side. But still, there are many excellent features that those who are eligible to play on the network should check out.
For starters we have the great software. All the skins offer exactly the same software, dressed up in their custom colors. The software is by Playtech, and boasts of some pretty awesome 3D graphics complete with animated avatars and also a 2D miniview which would be excellent for multitablers. There is also a full-screen viewing mode and optional embedded sidegames such as Blackjack, Video Poker and Progressive Bonus Stage Slots. So to satisfy the rest of your gambling fix (not just poker), you will find what you need on this network.
Playtech also boasts of having an excellent Random Number Generating ensuring the fairness of the deal, and is checked by TST which is an internationally recognized and respected Accreditation Testing Company. They also benefit of having state of the art collusion prevention and detection tools, so you can rest assured no undetected and unpunished collusion is taking place on the iPoker network.
The iPoker Network has been in business since 2004, and has since grown into being one of the most well trafficked poker networks in the world. At peak hours (European, of course) you will find about 5 figures worth of players on the network, and during a day you may average a little bit north of 9,000. The iPoker Network has excellent cash game traffic in the Cadillac of poker that is NLHE, but not so much in other poker variants such as Omaha or Stud. While you may still get a few games going, the traffic pales in comparison to the NLHE traffic on iPoker sites. Tournaments are also pretty popular on the site, with many MTTs and SNGs of all buy-ins going on all the time. iPoker Network’s traffic is currently the third best in the world, behind only PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker respectively.
The Playtech team has worked hard in developing and maintaining an excellent network for all your gambling needs, and the iPoker Network is the fruit of all their hard labor. You will have very nice software, great traffic and peace of mind by playing on the iPoker Network (if you are eligible). All they could do to be even better than they are now is of course to open their doors to US players, but with the current legislative situation over there it doesn’t look like it’ll be happening anytime soon.
